EMFT doubles its computing power

December 3, 2020

The chair Electromagnetic Field Theory (EMFT) took a share in the Lichtenberg High Performance Computer of TU Darmstadt. Its share corresponds to a five-year priority on 11 computing nodes, each with 96 cores. This corresponds to a yearly available computing time of a bit less than 10 million core hours. This computing power exceeds the currently available resources (two own clusters and several pool PCs). Hence, by the investment, EMFT doubles its computing power. Electromagnetic field simulation has never been so strong at TU Darmstadt.
